Rev. Tim Richholt was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. All his early schooling was done there and he graduated from high school in 1972. After several years in the grocery business, Tim became convinced the Lord was calling him into full-time ministry. So, in the fall of 1975, he entered Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota where he earned a Liberal Arts Degree with a major in Biblical languages in May of 1978. He took his seminary training at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating with his M.Div. in 1982.
Pastor Richholt, Melissa and their four sons moved to Cheyenne Wells, Colorado where he served his first call for six years at the dual parish of Grace Lutheran Church in Cheyenne Wells and Trinity Lutheran Church in Kit Carson. In May of 1988, he became pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, serving there for the next sixteen years. In October of 2004, he returned to the states to serve at Trinity Lutheran Church in Billings, Montana for the next ten years. His last full-time call came in 2014 to serve at Zion Lutheran Church in Wetaskiwin, Alberta from which he retired in July of 2020. Pastor is married to Melissa (nee Unterseher) and together they have 4 sons: Timothy John (Annette) of Drayton Valley, AB; Joshua of Brooklyn, NY; Jeremiah (Lyndsay) and Micah (Leah) – both of Kelowna, BC. Pastor & Melissa also have ten grandchildren: Kainen, Keziah, Noelle, Isaac, Kris, Kyra, Alex, Lexus, Liam & Kayla. |
